UPDATE(13/04/2012): I tried to follow everyone's precious advice Now I won't change anything anymore, but you keep giving me advice for future pictures
So I deleted the glow around Amaterasu as instructed by ~timmytier and *Skudde
I also added some reflexion on the metals and a few whiteness, not much though... I hope it's still noticeable on your screen. Thanks to :deskipshadowfang: for telling me.
I tried once again to make the ground a bit darker and increase the reddish glow intesity on the cracks as suggested once again by !SkipShadowfang, in the hope to make the cracks more visible( thanks also to ~timmytier again).
~Fluffytheartist suggested that I drew the support beams of the ceiling so I could counterbalance the left bottom of the picture. I didn't know how to do that and was afraid it asked too much work... So I just added a few stalactites in the top right corner instead, it counterbalances a bit the rock on the bottom left. Hope it's okay anyway.
~timmytier suggested some local sources but I had no idea how to do them now that the background is fully done, I'll remember that for later pictures. And ~YamiIsis suggested that I demarcate more the strips/fabric parts of Crimson Helm's armor, now it's too late but I'll keep it in mind for next time.
And finaly I added slobber on Crimson Helm's tongue, not much because I'm always afraid that it's too much, thanks again to !SkipShadowfang

Yes, there's a lot of details on the shading of the two characters mostly.
It'll make me happy if you download it to full-view, I spent so many hours on it after all x)

Finaly! A new Okami fanart! Okami will always be my favourite theme to draw, and I missed it so much! I'm quite glad I found the time to work on it.
It took me 21-23 hours to work on it( I lost track after 20 hours ), spent on 8 days. I thought I was never going to see the end of it lol.

Aye, Amaterasu fighting Crimson Helm, I love that boss
(I love them all, I know! Safe for Blare, he's annoying and hard to defeat, I always need 10 infinite ink pot and 50 golden bones against him x))

The background is not very detailed, the first reason being that I want people to focus on the characters. The other reason is that I'm simply not good at backgrounds... and I got to lazy anyway
There's the Crystal Serpent surrounded by purple evil "fire". I did as if Crimson Helm was so heavy that he could create earthquake, it's not in the game but I've always imagined him as very heavy and thought it would be great if he could destroy the ground x)
I decided to keep the lines black so it fits more to the original Okami style, and it allowed me to make a more contrasted shading.
I know the sword Seven Strike is a bit off... But I really wanted it to be on the picture Amy' is using it as her first weapon, and she has her rosary Exorcism Beads as second weapon( that's why it's not floating around her neck but lying by her sides).
I didn't forget to put Issun! That's a miracle! Thanks to the person who told me on my fake small WIP not to forget him( I don't remember who told me this... if you recognise yourself let me know ).

I did a few flames coming from Crimson Helm, because when you fight him and make him lose his armor he becomes a skelleton with flames and all.

Btw, yeah I know there're many mistakes on Crimson Helm's anatomy and design, I failed to find a beautiful reference( even the official artworks don't show his full design properly), so I had to improvise a bit ^^'
